[CH.22] Restless demand

Han Huayang had exceptional qualities by himself, and when dressed in a simple dress, he appeared even more natural and beautiful. His short, neat hair added a touch of boyish charm to her appearance. Walking on the street with the flashy girl band members, they inevitably attracted attention.

Even when ordering food, the male servers rushed to serve them. The first male server to approach them even asked Han Huayang if she had any special requests, displaying exceptional courtesy.

After placing their orders, the male server happily boasted to his colleagues, "Did you see that? She just smiled at me a moment ago."

"She was probably just making fun of you for being too ugly."

"Come on, at least I'm a good-looking guy. Look at the acne scars on your face. If she had to choose, she'd probably be scared of you."

While the servers were bantering, Han Huayang blushed and lowered her head.

At their table, Han Huayang was the only adult (20 years old), while the rest of the band members were high school girls (17-18 years old). Her position felt incredibly awkward.

The three girls on her left were discussing school-related anecdotes, Zhang Jingya on her right had been trying to chat with Han Huayang, and the only one who hadn't spoken, Chen Qianqiu, was gazing at Zhang Jingya's profile with a goofy smile.

After hearing the three-girl group's description of Chen Qianqiu, Han Huayang was also somewhat afraid to make eye contact with her, so he tried to avoid chatting with Zhang Jingya beside him.

However, Zhang Jingya was a helpful and warm-hearted girl, and Han Huayang's silent and bowed head only drew more of her attention. She had been worrying about Han Huayang's well-being and had spoken many words of concern to him.

It was the same last night when she spent a long time chatting with Alice just to ensure that Alice didn't feel bored or frightened. After all, she was a vulnerable girl alone in a cold alley, and it wouldn't be good if some idlers found her.

After listening to a lot of words, Han Huayang finally managed to force a slight smile. "I'm fine, I just feel a bit embarrassed that you had to buy the dress for me."

"It's just a small amount of money, my daily allowance is more than this."

"Allowance?"

The slender keyboardist next to them added, "Jingya is the heiress of the Zhang Pharmaceutical Group. Even if she bought all the clothes in that store, it wouldn't be a big deal. If you make too much of a fuss, she might get angry with you."

"Haha..."

Han Huayang should have guessed long ago that Zhang Jingya came from a well-off family.

The price of just the leather jacket she wore last night was over ten thousand. It was clear that Zhang Jingya's family was well-off since she could casually give it to someone else.

However, Zhang Jingya's brother, Zhang Yang, never appeared to be particularly wealthy. With such a wealthy family, it was puzzling why he chose to live in a shared apartment.

"My brother and our dad don't have a good relationship. Neither of us wants to inherit the family business. Since he started university, he hasn't taken any money from our family. Because I'm a girl, I wasn't eligible to inherit the company, and my father wouldn't care no matter what I did. But my brother made the same decision, and our dad is still angry about it."

"The family business, huh..."

Han Huayang had originally wanted to inherit the family factory, but since his scumbag father ran away with debts, the factory and the house had been repossessed.

Their family's financial situation had plummeted, and they were burdened with a pile of debt.

Previously, he managed to exchange 3 million from Spirit Kate, but that was still far from paying off all the debt.

Besides daily living expenses, there were many other expenses. His mother needed medication for her stomach problems, his younger sister would be taking the college entrance exam next year, and he had to pay his own tuition...

Additionally, Kate's 3 million had been obtained through a soul exchange of three-sevenths, and Han Huayang would eventually have to redeem that portion of his soul.

With the 69 Love Points and some living expenses on hand, Han Huayang had about 70,000 yuan in usable funds. This was far from enough for the family's expenses; he needed more money...

---

Perhaps sensing the change in Han Huayang's expression, Zhang Jingya quickly changed the subject.

"Oh my, how did we end up talking about this topic? Let's talk about something lighter. Sister, do you have someone you like?"

"Gasp!"

Han Huayang took in a sharp breath.

When it came to someone he liked, the first person that came to Han Huayang's mind was his senior, Li Meiting.

When senior got drunk, she would snuggle up in Han Huayang's arms like a kitten, reaching out to pinch his cheeks. Sometimes, she would stand up for him, protect him, and show concern. She often teased him with words and actions, but always maintained a gentle and restrained demeanor.

Senior was both gentle and beautiful, and even now, as Han Huayang hadn't transformed, he still remembered the feeling of his heart racing when he was held in her arms as Alice...

No matter how much he wanted to deny it, he couldn't help but consider his senior as someone he "liked."

"I... haven't found anyone I like yet."

"Cough, cough... Sister, you're not very good at lying."

Han Huayang's cheeks were completely flushed, and he lowered his head so much that his chin almost touched his collarbone.

Zhang Jingya tentatively asked, "Sister, could it be that you like my brother? After all, he invited you here today..."

"No, it's not like that. I'm just friends with that guy! The person I like is not him!"

Han Huayang interrupted Zhang Jingya's guesses with a loud shout. While Zhang Yang had a good personality and was a nice guy, Han Huayang wasn't interested in liking another man in that way.

"Then, Sister, who do you like?"

"I can't describe it well..."

"It's okay, just describe their personality. We're all high school girls, and there aren't many male teachers..."

"In that case, my love life probably won't be of much help to you."

"Sister, just tell us."

Unable to resist Zhang Jingya's request, Han Huayang sighed. He calmly recalled his senior's appearance and described it to Zhang Jingya.

"The person I like is very gentle. Although in the eyes of others, they may seem serious and unapproachable, they always like to stick to me. When they get drunk, they'll snuggle up to me, pinch my cheeks like a child, and cause me trouble."

Zhang Jingya commented, "Guys who get drunk should be troublesome, right? I often see in TV shows that drunk men become aggressive."

"It depends on the person. Sometimes, I do find her annoying, but every time she lies in bed, suffering from a headache after getting drunk, I subconsciously take care of her..."

"That's not good, Sister. You should prevent her from drinking. If you indulge guys too much, they'll become bolder and bolder, and one day, things might go too far."

Interrupted twice, Han Huayang complained, "Hey, don't you think you're overanalyzing things a bit too much?"

"Hehe, sorry, but you've described quite a bit already. Sister, you're so beautiful. If you take the initiative, the other person won't be able to refuse..."

"No, it's not that simple... Besides, I don't even know how to confess..."

Talking about his own feelings for his senior, Han Huayang still felt somewhat unclear.

From Alice's perspective, that was definitely liking. But was Alice's idea of liking really the kind of romantic liking, or was it just an illusion between two girls?

The most important question was whether his senior actually saw Han Huayang as the opposite gender...

—Damn it, I shouldn't be thinking about these things!

Han Huayang despised these complicated emotions, and goosebumps covered his skin. He banged his head against the table, leaving his forehead red.

"Ah, I want to die..."

"Sister, what are you doing?"

"Just thinking about some embarrassing things..."

"Sister, don't be so disheartened. It's already good that you like guys. In our all-girls school, most of the relationships are resolved 'internally'..."

Suddenly, like a bolt from the blue, Han Huayang raised his head abruptly, getting closer to Zhang Jingya's face.

"Resolved 'internally'? Does that mean...?"

Perhaps shocked by Han Huayang's sudden movement, Zhang Jingya's face turned slightly red.

"Just as you're thinking, finding a big sister or little sister to comfort each other's physical restlessness. We have several such couples in our class. The school has banned it multiple times, but it hasn't been effective..."

"Isn't that... strange to you guys?!"

Han Huayang appeared somewhat excited. He leaned closer, and Zhang Jingya, overwhelmed, avoided eye contact.

"Well... at least in our all-girls school, it's quite common... Everyone's going through adolescence, so they naturally have various thoughts and needs..."

Han Huayang interrupted Zhang Jingya once again, asking in detail, "Common, you say? Have you done it too?!"

"Huh? Uh...!"
