[CH.65] Clothing Attributes

Alice definitely wouldn't miss the opportunity to go on a date with her senior. Without much thought, she readily agreed, but then suddenly began to worry about how to go out.

The only properly fitting sailor uniform had already been torn, and the senior's clothes on her were as loose as pajamas.

Although the senior had previously made some cosplay costumes of anime characters for Alice, those clothes were left in the office. Alice didn't have any outfit she could wear outside, she couldn't possibly go out in loose pajamas.

"Hmm..."

After a brief thought, the senior said,

"Do you have enough points? If you have sufficient points, you can exchange for new costume attributes."

In Alice's magical girl system, there were several different types of attributes.

In addition to the "Love and Justice," which could enhance magical power, and its various derivatives, there were attributes like "Physical Strength" for ability enhancement, "Idol" for providing professional skills, and two costume attributes.

"Sailor Uniform: 5" and "Knee-high Socks: 6."

These attributes indicated the uniforms worn by the magical girl after transformation, automatically equipped during the transformation process.

Although Alice didn't have much magical power, as long as she equipped costume attributes, a new outfit would be generated. The senior's suggestion was for Alice to exchange a new costume attribute from the system to replace the previous "Sailor Uniform."

"Do you have enough points now? I remember the cheapest costume attribute costs 100 points."

"Let me confirm that..."

"Love points are... nearly 1400 points?!"

Last time I checked, it was 528 points. Upgrading Physical Strength cost 11 points, upgrading Desire cost 3 points... And now, how much more is it than yesterday?

Although it's simple arithmetic, Alice's little brain is having a hard time processing it.

1400 points all exchanged for cash would be worth 1.4 million. After all, Alice is just a 20-year-old college student. When did she ever have so much money?

The key is that these points almost grew overnight. And for one night, it seems like quite a lot.

"Hey, why are you suddenly stunned? Not enough points? Don't worry, we can go out tomorrow... no big deal."

"No, it's not that. I just... didn't expect to be able to buy so many clothes."

"By the way, don't look at anything too expensive. Just focus on what you can afford."

In the system's in-game store, the costume attributes section boasts a dazzling array of outfits. From commonly seen uniforms to fanciful fantasy clothing, the selection ranges from revealing to fully covering, offering a variety for every taste.

However, as the clothes depart from the "common" category, the prices become increasingly extravagant. Starting from the 100-point range, prices escalate, with some outfits even marked at ten million points.

Ten million love points for one outfit, that's way too expensive! Converted to money, it would be in the hundreds of billions. Where on earth can one acquire so many points...

Perhaps noticing the change in Alice's expression, the senior affectionately ruffled Alice's hair.

"Don't look at clothes that are too expensive. Besides, you're just temporarily changing outfits, Kate might even ask you to change back."

"What do you mean? Do I need to change back to the sailor uniform?"

"Magical girls need a stable persona, and costumes fall under that category. But it ultimately depends on what Kate thinks. After all, she's the boss. So, just pick something cheap."

"But... why are these clothes so expensive?"

The primary function of costume attributes is to provide defense.

As mentioned before, when a magical girl is in combat, she is enveloped in a faint glow. This glow grants the magical girl a certain degree of damage immunity, preventing severe injuries during battles with monsters.

The only issue is that with each attack resisted, the glow requires magical energy replenishment. Replenishing this glow consumes a significant amount of magical power. Therefore, many magical girls, when faced with insufficient magical power, exhibit weakened glow.

The fundamental function of magical costumes is to disperse the impact, using the damage to the clothing as a substitute for the consumption of the glow. The attribute level represents the effectiveness of the costume in dispersing damage.

Alice's sailor uniform and knee-high socks, being basic equipment, can only provide basic defense.

Beyond the basic functionality, there are also advanced effects. Costumes priced over 1000 points come with additional skills. The more expensive the costume attribute, the more diverse the accompanying skills.

"Clothes priced in the tens of thousands do come with many skills, but just take a quick look. After all, it's impossible for anyone to afford them. Anyway, hurry up and find something to wear."

"Got it..."

Alice mumbled in response, setting a price range in the store. Then, she patiently started browsing through the clothes.

She spent a considerable amount of time examining each clothing image, patiently and meticulously comparing them, trying to pick the most beautiful and suitable one in her mind.

However, the clothes she saw were either ordinary in style, poorly matched, or had unpleasant colors. She couldn't find the ideal outfit.

In the end, the senior had to urge Alice.

"Just pick anything, if you really want to choose carefully, I might as well help you design one."

"You can design it yourself?"

"Of course, but you don't need to think about that right now."

Prompted by the senior, Alice felt a bit nervous. She reluctantly chose a pleated skirt worth 230 points from the current page.

After replacing the original "Sailor Uniform: 5," a radiant glow flowed, and a gray woolen short skirt appeared around Alice's waist, paired with a brown and white long-sleeved knitted sweater on top.

This is a skirt equivalent to 230,000 points, but it somehow looks a bit plain. This simple outfit on Alice, however, seems to really match the price.

Even though this cuteness was entirely supported by Alice's inherent charm.

"It's okay, quite cute, suits you well," the senior complimented half-heartedly, just a polite phrase, but it excited Alice nonetheless.

"Really? Very cute?"

"Yeah... well, let's go with this for now. I'll get you some other clothes later anyway."

"Oh, you don't like it?"

"No... it looks really good. Alice is already cute, can she get even cuter?"

A beautiful outfit should naturally enhance the wearer's charm rather than relying solely on the wearer's inherent charisma. Cute really suits Alice. But if it weren't for Alice wearing it, this outfit might just be ordinary.

As a girl, Alice hasn't mastered the art of choosing clothes and is not sure what kind of clothes would better showcase her charm.

"Come with me for a bit, let me add some details for you."

The senior led Alice to the dressing table and asked her to sit down. Then, she searched the cabinet for small accessories that would complement Alice's outfit.

When the clothing is plain, adding some decorations to enhance the overall look is no big deal.

However, sitting on the stool, Alice felt somewhat uncomfortable.

The sitting sensation was a bit strange, and there seemed to be a string tightening around the base of her thighs. Some soft straps wrapped around her, cool, causing a slight discomfort.

While the senior hadn't turned around yet, Alice discreetly lifted her skirt.

All costumes come with innerwear, and in the place where there should have been underwear, a thin strap was now entwined.

The belt, while covering the chest, wrapped around the small abdomen side, and was locked by a heart-shaped buckle on the waist.

【Additional Costume: Heart Lock】

As an additional costume, any underwear equipped by Alice would take on the form of a love lock.
