"Who!?" 

The sudden voice startled Kieran, making him realize someone had infiltrated his room. He immediately rushed out of the bathroom, drawing the sword hanging on the hanger.

【Ah~ Why so fierce? You killed me once just now, and now you want to kill me again~】 

It was only at this moment that Kieran noticed the voice didn't come from outside but resonated directly in his mind.

He believed there was only one reason for such a phenomenon - someone had cast a mental magic on him, causing the voice to appear in his mind.

"Where are you!" Kieran didn't know what the succubus intended to do, but he had to stop her! So, he glanced at the holy sword in his hand and without hesitation, thrust it into his abdomen!

Fresh blood gushed out, and the sword emitted a golden light, causing a burning white smoke on the skin—typical reactions when piercing a demon's body.

The next moment, he heard the succubus scream, 【Ah!】

"Hehe... I guessed right." Kieran endured the pain, then chuckled, hoping to buy some time and put on clothes to seek help outside.

【You are indeed ruthless, but unfortunately... it's too late. The transformation has begun and won't stop.】

The strange pink glow emitted from the patterns on Kieran's belly did dim considerably under the penetration of the holy sword, but it didn't stop spreading.

"What? Then take another sword!"

Kieran tried to raise the sword for a second strike, but at that moment, his body suddenly lost strength, and he collapsed.

Although unable to move, Kieran could vividly feel the changes in his body.

It was hot, every inch of his skin and every part inside him burned, as if he had been thrown into a furnace. The sound of bones cracking continued, and Kieran's robust body was shrinking visibly, like a deflating balloon.

"Fear not, for a demon unafraid of the holy light is about to be born! Mother, wait! Back then, you thought I, your daughter, was just daydreaming. Now, I'll make you and my sisters look up to me!"

In my mind, the succubus's voice carried an uncontrollable excitement. Gradually, I couldn't make out what she was shouting anymore. Consciousness began to blur, and despite my resistance, my eyes could no longer hold on and slowly closed.

Kieran wondered if the mightiest knight was destined to fall here. Kieran wasn't afraid of death, but he refused to be killed by a demon. It was an indignity to a holy knight.

In a semi-conscious state, unsure how much time had passed, Kieran half-heartedly opened his eyes. The angle from his lying position happened to be directed at the ceiling.
