[CH.4] First day on the job after transfer (Part 2)

The Hamayama Sales Office is located on the second floor of a mixed-use building. It might be more appropriate to call it an office building, but the exterior indeed suits the description of a mixed-use building.

As I walked along, as Nishina-san had mentioned, security was quite tight. There were security guards, security cards, and multiple locks to get through. It's only natural for an office with female employees.

There were separate changing rooms and bathrooms for men and women in front of the office, so there didn't seem to be any gender-related inconveniences.

I needed to be careful because I'd require a security card to enter the office.

The office itself was of moderate size. It had office desks arranged in two rows vertically, with a desk for the branch manager. There was a small reception area, and in the back, there was a meeting room equipped for video conferences. There was even a simple kitchen.

The headquarters building was much larger, but this office wasn't bad at all.

"We're here,"

As I looked around inside the office, two beautiful women were waiting for me, and I felt like making a weird noise. I bowed to my new superiors.

"Good morning, I'm Hidaka Hanamura!"

My tie and suit should be perfectly in place. The first impression in a new meeting is crucial.

"I've transferred from the Design and Development Team to Hamayama Sales Office. I may have some areas where I'm not familiar, but I kindly ask for your support."

"Hanamura-kun, I believe we've spoken on the phone. I'm Rion Mimasaka. I have high expectations for your experience and knowledge."

"Yes, of course! Thank you very much."

She was even more beautiful than in the photos. However, among the three women, she was the shortest. But she had a commanding presence, and her dark hair was impeccably maintained. The suit she was wearing, along with her watch and necklace, all seemed to be from high-end brands. Her makeup was flawless too. If she came to do sales calls like this every day, I wouldn't mind at all.

Her demeanor conveyed that she was already a capable professional, and I could intuitively sense that.

And then...

Behind Branch Manager Mimasaka, there was probably Hinata Kuhou, who was staring intently at my face.

She had glossy black hair that reached all the way to her back, leaving a strong impression. She had a face that looked as if it belonged on a TV announcer – very striking. I think she's in her second year, as I've just entered my fifth year this term. Despite her youth, she was the tallest of the three.

Of course, she was smaller than me, a guy, but that long black hair was really nice.

"Hanamucchan, don't get lost in Hinata-chan's eyes!"

*Whack* She slapped my back.

"N-No, it's not like that! Ahem, I'm Hanamura, nice to meet you."

"Yes, I'm Kuhou. I'm sorry, I got caught up staring."

Her modesty, hiding her face behind a notebook, was fleeting and beautiful. She was as cute as Nishina-san, if not more so. I heard there's an incredibly cute girl in the third term below us, but... she's probably talking about this girl.

"Now, it's my turn. I'm Kazuha Nishina, but you can call me Kazuha. Hanamucc... Hanamura-san and I are fellow trainees. Let's get along!"

"Yeah, um... Nice to meet you!"

It seems like I'm more active here than when I was at the headquarters. She's already cute, and her brightness is so dazzling that I can barely look at her! This is the difference between extroverts and introverts...

...The first impression doesn't seem too bad after all. I'm glad I went to the salon to get my hair and everything sorted out. I've never been to a salon before!

As long as my likability doesn't go into the negatives, it's good for now.

Branch Manager Mimasaka steps forward.

"Well then, let's get right to it. You'll be learning the job from me, and in return, you'll be sharing your knowledge about the device you're familiar with."

"Yes!"

"I aim for the top in everything I do. It might sound harsh coming from me right away, but... make sure to keep up."
